I've been having fun with the spinning wheel I rented earlier this week. I don't even care about making anything with the stuff, I just want to create crazy yarn. Here's my first skein.
I made yarn, people!
And then I went a bit insane and started dyeing up this huge batch of white wool I've had sitting around for a year. This is only the beginning. I've got dirt underneath some fingernails and green dye underneath others. My thumb is only partially green.

I am now considering whether or not our growing season is long enough for cotton. The nerd has been unleashed. No one can stop it.
